pre-grad thoughts

Please stay,
Until I'm gone,
I'm here hold on,
To me I'm right here...
Waiting.
(this chorus has been playing in my mind non-stop)
one not-very-fine saturday, i had absolutely nothing to do at home (oh sweet home). of course, there was ironing to do and the clearing of junk from my wardrobe (which i eventually resorted to doing both to pass time) and the prospect of taking out my amath assessment book to do dangled in front of me. my brain protests to the incredible amount of thinking it would have to do for P&C. how bout doing some chem mcq? HMMM. brain threatens to remove preparation of salts from its system. so. the decision was made to thoroughly read the straits times. (classified section was apparently a teeeny bit more appealing than world section)

meanwhile. mother was on the phone (two hours and counting), bro was on the com (gave up counting), sis was on the mobile phone (couldnt be bothered to count). yay. an imaginary light bulb went off and off i went to my room to turn on the radio, lie on the bed and scrutinize the ceiling. by late afternoon, enough was enough. out of home it is. all by my i-am-not-sad-and-lonely self. haha i delightfully learnt some social skills from the 1,001 time i was asked, "can i help you, miss?" flash a megawatt smile and reply, "no, thanks. i'm just looking around." hands free besides my precious phone and wallet, final stop was at the library. (the imitation techno music and overly-chirpy christmas carols were too much to handle)

okay to sum up the beautiful day i had a dream.
-pause for dramatic effect-

haha there was Olevel maths paper at 3.30pm. whoops, late for it and cabbed down at 3.45pm. flustered but settled down for amath paper. flipped the page to find that ehh, it was emaths. heart bursts into fireworks. just do it. then time's up. rejoice. but noooooo. there was paper2 which i did not touch at all. go home and cry lor. (no lahh i just whined about it) next physics paper. i thought it was the following day but -gasps- i was wrong. frantically grabbed my silly little blue guidebook and logic gates flashed in my brain.

i never made it to the examination room cos i woke up. pondered what life would be like after grad. always sends a chill down my spine, the way magic was played before my eyes. a year ago witnessed the glam at seniors' grad, helped to set up the dinner tables, wistful about our own grad. then mugging for Os, often there were times we'd blank out and wonder about 29nov. poof, it's two days away now.

oh, urm, quote of the day: you ah, skin fish like you're examining it. you dont skin fish properly like a -- a housewife.

wow maybe it's because i'm a science student and they dont teach fish-skinning 101 in cme?
